Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment in Jeffco

Dual Enrollment allows high school students in Colorado to enroll in and earn college credits while still in high school. Dual Enrollment has a tuition cost that the student is responsible for paying. Concurrent Enrollment does not have a tuition cost for the student.

High School-Based

Students may enroll in college-level classes offered at Jeffco high school campuses, taught by Jeffco Public Schools teachers, during the regular school day. These courses have a reduced tuition cost for students.

Students or families must contact their home high school to learn about Dual Enrollment offerings. Dual Enrollment is not available at every high school.

  • Dual Enrollment courses offered at the high school will be provided with registration information, including the institution's application, payment and registration process.
  • Not all Dual Enrollment credits are transferable. Students should contact the postsecondary institutions they are interested in attending to find out if their credits will transfer.

College Campus-Based

A  student can enroll at a college of their choice and take courses there. The student is responsible for paying all tuition costs and fees associated with the courses.

Students who want their college coursework to count towards graduation requirements must receive prior approval from their home high school principal.
