Early Childhood Special Education Services
Jeffco preschools have a continuum of support to meet a student's individual needs. The type of support, amount of service minutes and accommodations required are determined by the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team.
Currently, there are preschool sites across the district. Preschool is available to students who are three and four years old. Students who qualify for early childhood Special Education (SPED) services have the opportunity to attend at least two and a half hours per day, four days a week (Tuesday–Friday) to access a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). There are preschool sites that offer full-day and modified programming. Tuition is prorated for students who qualify for an IEP.
