Adult ESL and Literacy

The mission of the Jeffco Adult ESL and Literacy program is to provide quality English language and literacy instruction that prepares adult learners for a successful future.

Classes are offered for students with Beginning to Advanced English skills. The classes are designed to challenge the English language learner to improve listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar skills. Pre and post-test assessments are used to measure student progress and guide instruction.

CLASS INFORMATION & REGISTRATION

Free day and evening English ESL (English as a Second Language) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes are available for adults ages 18 and over.

We do not offer GED classes at this time.

Sessions are 15 -20 weeks in length and are similar to Jeffco Public Schools’ semester calendar. 

Fall Semester = August - December
Spring Semester = January - June

Term 1 of the 22/23 school year is July 18 - September 22, 2022. It is a 10-week term. Instruction is 10 hours per week.
