Career and college pathways are a series of connected educational opportunities that enable students to explore careers and engage in an industry-relevant process in order to build the skills to advance to higher levels of future education and employment.

Career & Technical Education

Automotive Students Working on CarJeffco Public Schools are dedicated to preparing all students for careers and lifelong learning. Our mission is to prepare all students for successful careers through the real-world application of core academic skills by partnering classrooms with businesses, industries, and communities which positively impacts the future workforce.

Jeffco has Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs in neighborhood middle schools and high schools as well as our premier career and technical schools, Warren Tech and Warren Tech North.

All CTE programs offer academic, elective, and/or college credit.

EMS StudentsJeffco Career Links is a one-stop resource for industries and schools. Our goal is to provide resources and tools in order to build connections between classrooms and careers. In addition, Career Links will support the work-based learning opportunities for students to ensure that their experiences are connected to their learning targets. The Career Links team is committed to providing support to your school in order to support quality programming for your students.

Postsecondary Opportunities

Student at computerThere are many ways students can earn college credit while in high school. Most Jefferson County high schools have credit-earning opportunities where students earn college credit by taking a college-level course (concurrent enrollment or dual credit) or by taking college-level exams in AP (Advanced Placement) and IB ( International Baccalaureate) courses and meeting college scoring requirements.
