Summer Learning Opportunities

In Jeffco, our summer school options are varied and structured to meet different needs at different locations; some are academic while others are enrichment-based. If you are interested in exploring the options, talk with a principal, secretary, counselor, or teacher at your school to find out if they will have any summer programming there or nearby. Some of our elementary schools offer summer school for students who attend that school. For students in high school who need credit recovery, there are three regional options, listed below.

2020 HIGH SCHOOL credit recovery Summer School Options

For high school students who need credit recovery, summer school will be at the locations below.

  • Open to all Jeffco high school students; mainly for those who need to recover or complete credits.
  • This summer, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, all summer school opportunities will be virtual.
  • Students will need to access a computer and the internet daily, and complete work from a home setting.
  • Courses are set up in a mastery format* where pretesting determines the amount of content to be learned. Students move through designated coursework at their own pace.

*Exception: Where NCAA clearinghouse applies, student-athletes will have to complete a full complement of course content modules to meet these requirements.
