Student Registration

The following resources are designed to give parents and students the information they need to prepare for a successful school year.

School Registration Dates and calendars

In Jeffco, most students enroll in January to indicate the school they plan to attend, then complete registration for that school in late July or early August. Most Jeffco schools conduct online registration; however, check your school's website to familiarize yourself with their registration procedures (use the Select a School menu bar at the top left). If you have moved here during the school year or are changing schools and need to register or enroll, contact the school you wish to attend directly.

You will also find school-specific calendars on each school's web page. The district 2019-20 school year calendar is available on this calendars page.

Registration Checklist & Jeffco Connect

Parents should check school websites regarding the registration process for specific schools. A general registration checklist has been created to help parents complete some of the steps required to register a student for the 2019-20 school year, including accessing Jeffco Connect, the student information and fee payment system. To use it, select Registration Checklist from the menu on the left.

School Fees

Colorado State Law (CRS 22-32-117) allows the Board of Education to authorize the collection of fees. The district supplies students with textbooks and instructional materials which are necessary for successful completion of approved courses of study. Students may be required to pay the cost of these, as well as materials for projects when the items produced will be retained by the student. Students who qualify for Free and Reduced Meals may qualify to have additional fees waived. See the 2019-20 Eligibility Guidelines. When completing the Free and Reduced Price Meal Application, parents must consent to the disclosure of the application information for use as an application for other fee waivers. Check boxes designating what programs the information can be used for are included on the bottom of the meal application. Please be sure to check the boxes if you want to apply for additional fee waivers.

Parents can pay fees online by logging in to Jeffco Connect beginning TBD FOR 2019-20, and throughout the school year. If you have trouble logging in, contact your child's school for assistance.

Back to School and Curriculum Nights

A number of schools host Back to School or Curriculum Nights on or near the first day of school. Check your school's website for information about these events.


Check your school's website for supply lists.


Families having difficulty providing school supplies should talk to their school principal. Additionally, The Action Center is providing free school supplies for students who register in advance and qualify, call 303-237-7704.
