Healthy School Meals for All
Jeffco Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) believes that access to healthy meals is essential to student success. Thanks to the passage of the Healthy School Meals for All in November 2022, beginning in the 2023-24 school year, all students will eat for free, regardless of income eligibility.
Families that are eligible for free and reduced lunch should still complete a Meal Benefits Application to receive other benefits and free access to district programs.
Complete an online Meal Benefits Application:
- Review the annual family letter.
- Go to SchoolCafé.com. Sign in to your account if you have one, or create a new account.
- Complete the online application.
Complete a paper Meal Benefits Application:
- Contact your school or FNS to request a paper application or download the application.
- Deliver the completed and signed application to your school’s front office or the Food & Nutrition Office at 809 Quail Street, Building 1, Lakewood, CO 80215.
Families must submit a new Meal Benefits Application every year. Forms are available starting July 1 every year.
Healthy School Meals for All - Meal Benefits Application
When completing the Meal Benefits Application, families can agree to share information from the form to avoid having to pay certain district or program fees.
Allow at least 10 business days to hear from the Food & Nutrition Office after submitting an application.
Formal complaints regarding civil rights violations in relation to meal benefits can be filed by completing the Jeffco FNS Discrimination Complaint Form.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
