*Please note: Jeffco Public Schools does not accept at-home BinaxNow Rapid antigen tests for any weekly testing mandates under JCPH PHO 21-002 for unvaccinated employees as well as students participating in athletics and/or activities, including students attending Outdoor Lab.

If a student or staff member is showing any new onset of COVID-like symptoms, please isolate and get tested!

Mobile Health will continue to test at our current hubs as scheduled through Friday, January 14th.
Any asymptomatic staff and student may test weekly at any hub no matter their vaccination status.

If you have symptoms you must stay home and we encourage you to keep testing.

Positive Test Results

Any positive test result, regardless of rapid antigen screening test or PCR test, will always be considered positive per the JCPH PHO 21-002. No subsequent testing is needed, nor will be accepted by Jeffco Public Schools or JCPH. Immediate 10-day isolation is required. 


Negative Test Results

At-Home Tests / Rapid Screen Antigen
Negative test results from rapid screen antigen tests (like the BinanNow test) will need to be confirmed with a negative PCR test. Students/staff may return to school with a negative PCR test. Find a free COVID testing location

Asymptomatic School-Site Testing
Unvaccinated students/staff participating in athletics and activities must be tested weekly per JCPH PHO 21-002. Negative test results will allow for participation in extra-curricular events and will not need to be confirmed with negative PCR test if student/staff member presented for testing as asymptomatic

Symptomatic Testing
Symptomatic testing will need to be confirmed with a PCR test. Negative PCR test results will allow for the return to school. 

 

*CDPHE Mobile Health School Site Testing

The CDPHE Mobile Health testing program is hosted by Jeffco Public schools in order to assist unvaccinated staff and unvaccinated students participating in extracurricular activities in complying with JCPH PHO 21-002. The intention of the program is used for surveillance purposes which refers to regular testing for individuals who are not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Only Jeffco students and staff may test at school sites. Family and community members may test at any other free COVID testing location

ISOLATION AND QUARANTINE PROTOCOLS

ISOLATE FOR 5 DAYS MINIMUM

  • Stay home for 5 days.

  • Return to school/work on day 6 - as long as there is no fever for at least 24 hours without using medication and no symptoms.

  • No test is required to return.

QUARANTINE FOR 5 DAYS MINIMUM

  • Stay home for 5 days.

  • Return to school/work on day 6 - as long as there is no fever for at least 24 hours without using medication and no symptoms have been developed since exposure.

  • No test is required to return.

  • Note: this also applies for schools in “outbreak status”.

NO QUARANTINE

  • Attend school/work.

TEST RESULTS - NOW WHAT?

Positive Test Results

Negative Test Results

Negative test results are no longer required for return-to-school or return-to-work.

COVID Positive/Isolation Return

COVID Exposed/Quarantined Return

Vaccinated asymptomatic people are not required to quarantine.

Quarantines for asymptomatic, unvaccinated people exposed to COVID are now 5 days past the exposure date. If the unvaccinated person has not developed any symptoms of COVID since exposure, they can return to school on day 6. No test is required to return.
