Transportation
The Transportation Department is composed of bus drivers, bus assistants, trainers, supervisors and directors who are all responsible for safely transporting Jeffco students.
The most direct way to get a response from Transportation for all questions, including questions about bus routes, is to fill out the Transportation Questions and Requests form. Your question will be immediately routed to the appropriate Terminal or Manager.
Bus Rider Registration and Bus Pass Information
All students must be registered for the bus if they intend to ride.
Jeffco Public Schools uses a service called ZPass for its bus riders. ZPass is a widely used and trusted, innovative system.
All transportation-eligible students must have their ZPass card at all times to ride the school bus. As students enter and exit the bus, they swipe their card. The time, date and location of entry and exit is transmitted to a secure database accessible only to transportation and school staff.
Students receive their initial ZPass card for free. If your student loses their card, they will not be denied transportation, but they will need to request a replacement card from their school secretary. The fee for a replacement card is $15.
If you have questions about the ZPass card or system, contact your local transportation office.
